Namaste Narasimhaya
Prahladahlada dayine
Hiranyakashipor vakshah
Shila tanka nakhalaye
Ugram viram maha Vishnum
Jvalantam sarvato mukham
Narasimham bhishanam bhadram
Mrityur mrityum namamy aham
Swaha
I jesienny księżyc przystrojony rubinami
Pół człowiek-pół lew jest tu z nami
Swaha
Narasimhaya
I bow to Narasimha, who gives joy to Prahlada
Whose nails are like chisels on the stone-like chest of the demon Hiranyakasipu
May my head be protected by the moon colored one, who is the greatest among humans
My obeisances unto the ferocious and powerful, the great Visnu
Whose faces are on all sides, the fearful one
Narasimha, who can overcome death
So be it
Then from within came a terrible sound that seemed to tear the covering of the universe
Great stars fell to earth heralding the doom of the world
They fell to the ground, their roots cut off
This Sound
Lion man with a great soul saw cities, islands, gods
Rescue for humanity, brutal for enemies
Sharp teeth and three eyes, behold a lion luminous as molten gold
And the moon adorned with rubies
Half man-half lion is here with us
So be it
To Narasimha

I offer my obeisances to Lord Krishna, who gives bliss to the cows
Whose external form is the universe
Who is the cause of maintenance of the material universe
Who is the lord of the universe
I offer my obeisances to Lord Krishna
Who is the giver of happiness to the cows
Who is the lord of the gopis
Who is the embodiment of unlimited knowledge and the highest bliss
Vishnu, protector of cows
I bow to you
Lotus-petal eyes

Lotus navel
Beautiful as lotus flowers

Murar puranava mugisidarilla
Sara nyaya kathegala keldarilla

Koralolu male dharisidarilla
beralolu japa mani enisidarilla
Marulanagi ta sharirake bhudi
Oresi kondu tanu tirugidarilla
Till you become a slave of the Guru
You would not get salvation
Reading of various scriptures
Would only lead to wasted devotion
What if you have read the six different shastras
What if you complete reading the eighteen puranas
And what if you go on roaming as a courageous one
Without enjoying the company of good people
What if you wear a garland
What if you turn the beads of a rosary by fingers
What if you go on wandering like a mad man
After rolling repeatedly in ash

Victory to Hanuman, ocean of Wisdom
All hail to you Kapisa! You illuminate all the three worlds with your glory
You are the divine messenger of Rama and repository of immeasurable strength
Known as son of wind, born of Anjani
With limbs as sturdy as Vajra you are valiant and brave
On you attends good sense and wisdom, you dispel the darkness of evil thoughts
As a descendant of Lord Sankar, you are a comfort and pride of Kesari
With the luster of your vast sway, you are propitiated all over the universe
You are the repository of learning, virtuous and fully accomplished
Always keen to carry out the requests of Rama
You are always keen to listen to the Rama’s stories
You therefore always dwell in the hearts of Rama, Lakshmana and Sita

Narasimha kavacam vakshye prahladenoditam pura sarva-raksha karam punyam sarvopadrava nashanam

Catur bhujam komalangam svarna kundala shobhitam shriyasu shobhitoraskam ratna keyura mudritam
I shall now recite the Narasimha kavacam, formerly spoken by Prahlada Maharaja. It is most pious, vanquishes all kinds of impediments and provides one all protection
It bestows upon one all opulences and can give one elevation to the heavenly planets or liberation. One should meditate on Lord Narasimha, Lord of the universe, seated upon a golden throne
His mouth is wide open, He has three eyes, and he is as radiant as the autumn moon. He is embraced by Lakshmidevi on his left side and his form is the shelter of all opulences, both material and spiritual
The Lord has four arms and his limbs are very soft. He is decorated with golden earrings. His chest is resplendent like the lotus flower, arms are decorated with jewel-studded ornaments

Take away our worries, Lord Shiva
The great yogi, Lord Shiva
We worship the three-eyed one
Who is fragrant and increasing the nourishment of our spirit
From bondages of Samsara similar to cucumbers tied to their creepers
May I be liberated from death, so that I am not separated from the perception of immortality
